United Irishmen book series
Spanning 1793-1815 Scroll down for Gaelic Kings
As a former history teacher, I've always been keenly interested in stories of the past and in particular the Age of Revolution. My debut novel, "Verses in the Sand" set between the years 1799 and 1802 marks the beginning of the United Irishmen series—which aims to weave history, action, and character driven stories into one seamless saga.
While Irish History Tales follows a conventional chronological order, the United Irishman series will be a non-linear story. Coming in early 2025, "Crimson and Clover" dives into the intriguing era of the 1790s. Notably, it's a prequel, that will build toward the 1798 Rising, while also providing a good foundation for "Verses in the Sand".
As a prequel, it also means that new readers to the series can start with "Crimson and Clover" and treat "Verses in the Sand" as a standard sequel.

norman conquest series
After dedicating a significant amount of time to researching the Norman conquest of Ireland, I have been inspired to delve into a project that brings this fascinating period of history to life. So I would like to announce my plan to create a new series of books that will explore the years from 1169 to 1189, with important flashbacks to pivotal moments in 1152 and 1166.
The narrative will weave together the well-known events of the invasion with the lesser-known details, twists, and complexities that often escape the mainstream historical narrative. I am hoping that this rich story of history, politics, and strong personalities will offer readers a fresh perspective on an era that shaped Ireland.
While my immediate focus remains on completing my forthcoming novel, "Crimson & Clover," I am already in the early stages of planning for this new series, tentatively titled "The Gaelic King Series."
I hope to begin this exciting new project in early 2025. Sign up to my mailing list for more updates and sneak peeks as we embark on this historical adventure together!
